Broadband Seismometer for Ocean-Bottom Applications
Models ÑÌÅ-4011-OBS and ÑÌÅ-4111-OBS

Seismometers 4011-OBS and 4111-OBS are specially adapted for ocean bottom applications versions of models 4011 and 4111 correspondingly. These models share main technical parameters with corresponding regular versions but have a specially designed compact, lightweight case, flat flexible signal cable and consume less power. Specially designed hardware allow the seismometer to be installed inside titanium or glass spheres, usually used in ocean bottom installation. The instrument is fully operable at up 15° tilt angle and thus does not require accurate leveling.
